A JOURNEY BACK TO ENDEARMENT

A JOURNEY BACK TO ENDEARMENT

FLYING A SECRET

I got here to hide. From equations and patterns. From repetition, after all.
Closed the door and got me a special place where I thought I could
somehow sit close to the stars. But I soon found out that the sky was
still opaque, no matter what the steps. And so I left. Again.

I thought, then, I could build me a different ceiling, a new-coloured scrap
of highness. And then make it work. Where I could dream, more than I sleep.
I have long decided that sleeping is overrated - that I know for sure. So I
take that time instead to travel the night alone and in the meantime I allow
myself to fly, unlike stated before... Yes, I like playing with paradox, to
expose the inside of words and the revelation of writing down the voice of a
silence. My adventurous, ever-walking silence.

So I came back. Here, within this quiet world, I intend to gather all my
things usually kept hidden or inactive. They are here to speak.

And since the future is a stand-by secret, I want to live by a precocious
clock, at every running instant of every entering second.

And I will not slow down until my "future exists now" - kind of reverse
quoting Jacob Bronowski.

CAPTAIN WILLIAMS - THE GRAND WANDERER

Oh Captain, dear Captain...

I really don't know what to say now to you... As it is always the case when something bad happens to the ones I love. Everything seems false and added to me in times like these. And they say you did it to yourself... Did you? I get it, you know? Sometimes the pain is just too excruciating to be worth it. But I'm sorry... I am so deeply sorry...

See, some people are grand not because they want to and insanely work on it struggling for the perfect self image, but just because they exist, as they are, and that alone is an immense privilege for other people to get access to, in the sense that we all can benefit from the public approach to their special life and freedom knowledgeable (and yet seldom common) visions.

The moment this gifted person crosses our own colour spectrum we feel a certainty that rainbows are different, and many and diverse. And we know that they, these sun spreading beings,  will forever stay: within heart, as they keep challenging our brains, messing with our emotions, enlargening the scope of our soul by making us re-think, analyse, disassemble; questioning everything, every tiny detail of each established convention. For making them re-shine, as they turn into new formulations, revived wings by new flying poems ...

Well, I say they stay. 'Cause they are home to us.

And yet they were never at our doorway, not even have we shared a bit of a common path, or exchanged a word, a written character, a smile from afar. But they enter our lives on a given praised second and we instantly know we'll never get to let them go.

In the meantime, life runs on its own and seems to know its way carved out of centuries' matter.

Until that certain day when darkness decides to show up at the regular scene of events and tear everything apart. And, for some unexpected reason, we're confronted with the obvious, something we tend to forget when facing them, the great, grand beings: they too, they die.

And for a while there we lose the ability to think. Not a shred of a thought, no consideration whether that is fair. We just feel that harm has permanently moved into our hearts. And we cry. For someone, some person we have never met. We cry. Because we feel the world has now acquired an extra bit of its infinite emptiness.

Or not, if we're sure some of them, the best, will never leave us. Truth is they don't.
Oh Captain, you won't!

"Thank you, boy. Thank you".
